What is Extreme Green?
Welcome to the world of Extreme Green products.
We at Natural Creations, a division of Burchette and Burchette Hardwood Floors, as a major leader in wood flooring technology, have secured a series of products that have been professionally chosen from manufacturer's capacities from around the world.
These products come from a basis of green manufacturers, most often bearing certification to PEFC and FSC. This is proof that the timber used can be traced and tracked through the entire chain of custody; from the certified, sustainable managed forest all the way to through to the final product.
Often these manufacturers bear the certification of DIN EN ISO 9001, thus yielding green products by it's efficient and quality management systems, as well as DIN EN ISO 14001, which indeed affirms itself to a strong commitment of environmental management.
To bear the name Extreme Green the products have to be unique in design, unique in production, and meet high levels of environmental commitment. Not just green, but Extreme Green, which is acutely aware of it's ecological responsibilities.
To understand Extreme Green is as simple as understanding that some products are produced "greener" than others. Indeed most of our products are green, but only a few products can be identified and certified Extreme Green. A classic example would be Haro Celenio. Haro is a German manufacturer whose facilities bear the certifications ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PEFC, and FSC. They have chosen to use much of the byproduct of their FSC production to produce a unique and stately product they call Celenio.
Most often, byproducts in factory production are incinerated and/or disposed of to rot and decay back into the soil. In this case, Haro invented a way to turn these byproducts into a beautiful, resilient, and ecologically friendly "Wood Tile" floor. It is products such as these which encourage ingenuity and resourcefulness to make a green product an Extreme Green product.
